... and more arriving !

==

Avon and Somerset Police said the vehicle was stopped at about 1pm by the Southfields roundabout on the A303 near Ilminster after officers received a calls about "shouts and banging" coming from the back of the lorry.

The German lorry driver, who is also understood to have raised the alarm with his boss in Denmark, has been arrested on suspicion of facilitating the unlawful entry of people into the UK and is being questioned by officers at Yeovil police station.

The eleven men, three women and a 15-year-old boy found inside the refrigerated box lorry, told police they were from Eritrea, in the Horn of Africa, and Kashmir, the northwestern region of the Indian subcontinent.

I still think its a good idea (of mine) to SWAP those here that won't work - for those who want to come here and work !

The EU can't complain - just exercising our right to free movement !

Impractical.

We would just lose control.

Of everything.

Just one example/question - would we give our new/unknown immigrants free health care?

Why would we lose control? It would be an even harder job but still perfectly possible and, yes, free health care to all. That's why I pay my (enormous) taxes.

NHS can't cope with demands of patients, green land belts are disappearing for more houses whilst there are millions empty homes out there already that local councils can use, crime is out of control the police won't touch a Romanian especially a Roma.

Possible, yes.

Madness, yes.

Why not extend the principle to the European mainland?

Further maybe?

... with healthcare, its only the same as a Briton getting free healthcare abroad on that reciprocal scheme.

Well the government like to build houses then rather renovate, police won't arrest Roma as fear of being assaulted. Where I live Honey there is there Roma gangs who are dog-nappers the police won't arrest them, even though they know who they are and how they operate, dog wardens don't have the skills or powers.

Have you seen the the posters Pattaya for missing dog in Thanet ?

And 500 plus reasons why most people don't want to.

'What is so disturbing is not just the scale of their involvement — with more than 500 British Muslims now estimated to be fighting for the extremists in Syria and Iraq — but also the depths of their violence.'

Nobody would argue scrapping all borders, like every policy, would have some negatives - my argument is that it would have far, far more positives. All the thousands of dead "boat people" trying to get into Europe from Africa would still be alive and thriving; which I reckon is many more lives saved than those killed by a handful of barmy extremists.

Then the NHS needs sorting out before it can handle 'free healthcare for all'. Having spent 12 hours waiting for a doctor in Brighton A&E (who never came)to see my mother in law, I realised that although the NHS is essentially great, it is well out of its depth and constrained by stupidly expensive bureaucracy. I reckon 40% of the people there were drunks sleeping it off - this wasn't even a Friday night!

Enforcing proper punishments for illegal entry, and denying benefits to criminals would have an even better deterrent effect Mr King!
And it would allow us to choose those immigrants who would benefit us here, not the useless ones who's sons and daughters will be joining the next lot of riots as they cannot fit in here.

To be fair, Foz, it must be very difficult to manage such a massive organisation such as the NHS (isn't it the fourth largest employer in the world) ?

How do you know when "customers" will arrive? You either over-staff (and waste money) or risk the long wait when they are busy.

Re - the self-inflicted ... YES they should be charged full rate BEFORE they are treated !
