Hysterical well meaning discussion with EVERYBODY just slightly adapting the facts to fit their outrage. "Girls who went to police about Clifford, Rolf..." - no, there weren't any; "girls who complained about Savile..." - no, there weren't any until after all the publicity (NOT just after his death; not one complaint to Childline).

Ordinary decent people who mould the facts to fit their agenda. And the result? "We must sort out justice for the 1400" (I don't believe there ARE 1400). We must punish those who covered up (I don't think there WAS a cover up - just social workers not believing the majority of lying or exaggerating girls, whilst some may have been telling the truth). PC (a good excuse for repressed racism).

Instead of sensibly trying to stop the few genuine abuse victims from being abused in the future. I suspect some very good and decent police are in despair about what goes on when there is Moral Panic.

"Fascinating" isn't quite the word I would use to describe it. That Paddy O'Connell is nothing but a pedlar of prejudice. I switched over as soon as it came on. Glad I did now.

I expect exaggeration,especially as the cover ups have destroyed a lot of the chance to find the real truth...but that's not why the public are reacting to this,it's the fact that the authorities didn't act because of the race of the accused.

"Little girls are been raped", A 13 to 15 year old girl would not be described as a little girl.

How many were girls- who the report states were obviously a handful- willingly went with these blokes as they deemed that to be a bit more exciting than the life they were leading?. Only to find just another unpleasant situation?

How many girls "trafficked" were actually just driven to some 'party' in a flat and engaged in a gang bang? Or were semi 'on the game' for a whole variety of reasons?

I have,and while numbers are inflated,along with facts....the truth is abuse was ignored,because of fear of racist overtones...I know,I reported a few incidents to police,all ignored,even though a 14yo girl I knew was a regular prossie on Lumb Lane...Anna hasn't a clue on this,because peeps like her only see the evidence presented to her,not the reality as it happens.

Savile was a single man...a bit 'dodgy' no doubt,but if he broke the law we will never know.
This is not Savile,and as such the anger is not over the exact extend of the obvious abuse,but the fact it was covered up so that immigrant racial groups were not shown up for what many members of their community were up to..I know people in authority in Bradford who deliberately covered things up...shouldn't that be investigated Mr King?
