Israel has been castigated by the UN more times than any other country on earth - are the UN anti-semitic (or realists)?

Isn't the excuse you just posted the reason we have the problems with Israeli bombs murdering people,and Pakis abusing and getting away with it because a minority of people prefer not to mention the crimes?

If you'd prefer the 'sterile' posts only then just say so,you can sit around and talk small talk all day,because it's the provocative stuff that fuels the quality debates on here,and makes it interesting....oh and I note from your previous input on here you're against both the above items you mentioned.

Correct David; but also, I thought I expressed it clearly - I'm NOT saying either side is right or wrong, I'm simply saying going to extremes is wrong and very dangerous. I'm all for debate and discussion. I'm worried though when sensible people appear to find it hard to say there are many elements to problems and NO simple solutions to complex problems.

No, I don't think it's the reason; not even a small part of the reason. I don't believe a single bomb was dropped or girl abused because "people preferred not to mention the crimes". I think there are numerous reasons, from sheer insanity to bad circumstances, difficult families, blinkered fighters, awkward teenagers rebelling, children liking throwing rocks or shooting guns, lust, religion, territoriality, political correctness, laziness, lies, cultures, slogans… and the danger with considering a reason like the one you mentioned as a crucial one distracts concentration on the real causes.

That's my worry. Muddying the waters with largely irrelevant but good stories.

David, I wish I had your facility for hitting the nail on the head in many less words than I. I agree 100% with you. The main reason why my own contibutions here are so rare nowadays is because, with a couple or three exceptions, the overall tone of the site has become a haven for far right xenophobia. It used to be well balanced. It isn't any more. Shame, but there you are.

David has been a rare voice of reason for most of my time here.

but using Un-pc words doesn't indicate racism, and wanting controlled immigration either for economic reasons or to preserve British standards and customs is nothing to do with racism either.

I'm here for that exact reason Mr King,there are after all lots of places where political discussion can be had...but you really do need to set guidelines if certain things need to be limited/banned etc,otherwise it'll simply lead to confusion.
