Little Ashya King’s case is an important and defining moment in the exposure of the system that is classed as child protection in the United Kingdom.

For many years a handful of journalists and scores of parents have attempted to highlight the inadequacies and, more importantly, the injustices of the child protection regime. What began with the best of intentions – the protection of vulnerable children,- has today turned into a modern day witch hunt against parents.

No longer is the state acting only when it has to, in the most exceptional of circumstances; instead it has created a system that deliberately works on the most extreme of levels: that of removing a child.
