Question; if nobody gives a shit, why the massive turnout? 10 Years, 10 Months ago
Answer - the media stupid! It's all down to the media. Say "this is vital" people will fall for it and vote (although, deep down, they neither understand nor give a shit).
Say "X is a pervert" and hundreds will decide "X is a pervert" and step forward with imaginary evidence.
The media tell us what to think, what to do, how to behave. None of us has the time or inclination to pause and consider the evidence.
Give us a catchy slogan, a tabloid headline, a simple solution to a complex problem and we are happy, moronic lemmings rushing towards the edge of the cliff.

I think the YES vote- tho not a winning vote was substantial and shows nearly half the country want independence.
The majority wins but it also means that that losing near half are now dissatisfied and are subject to the majority rule (which does not mean it;s right)
so JK's constant claim that democracy does not work is correct.

Funnily enough I was wondering, if the vote had been YES but a hefty chunk had voted NO, would they have been entitled to divorce from Scotland and join the UK?

I love to know when we get our EU referendum as promised numerous times.

Yes - a massive novelty; and teenagers tend to go for the more exciting project; revolution and change are such fun - as is pulling the wings off flies and other amusing death games - as we see in Northern Ireland (past decades) and Gaza and ISIS and the other "join us and have fun killing people" games.
At the end of the day he never wanted independence - he wanted independence lite !
They wanted to keep the Queen and the Pound, plus lots of cross-border institutions.
Thats not independence (standing alone on your own feet), thats keeping the bits you want and getting rid of the bits you don't - having your cake and eating it !!!!
During his 2 terms in office he has relied on "passing the buck".
During his first (minority) term, he relied on Scottish Tory support to pass his budgets and get his legislation through.
During his second term he kept making promises ... and said it was not his fault that he could not deliver.
The nationalists claimed they wanted to "protect the NHS" - but the devolved Scottish government has always had control over the Scottish NHS !
They claimed that they wanted to give Scots more - no bedroom tax, for example - but the Scottish government has always had the power to raise its own taxes - and never ever used them !
It was far more convenient to claim the benefit for anything that went right and blame London for anything they could not / would not deliver. A blatantly misleading statement.
