TOPIC: Downton Abbey - series 5 (?)

Downton Abbey - series 5 (?) 10 Years, 10 Months ago
Some good bits but I found myself yawning (I do that a lot by Series 5 of formats). I couldn't quite remember who liked whom or who was bad and who was good (I missed the lady servant who was vile), who had died and why. SPOILER - the fire sequence was good. SPOILER TWO - shame dishy James has gone - anyone with any sense would have got into bed with him.

I wouldn't have minded more of Anna Chancellor (even so her role war rather silly).

More about the effects of the big political/economical/societal changes instead of the soap-opera-story-lines would be appreciated.

Not by me. I just want to know why Edith has given birth to a giant while Tom and Mary's children havent grown.
How much time is supposed to have elapsed?

I enjoyed the show. Anna Chancellor was great. (You should check her out playing the Mum partnered by Angus Deyton in the BBC3 series Pramface).

But with the amount of water being sprayed on to the fire, I'm surprised none of it didn't cause more damage than just the one bedroom. (Didn't it flood the downstairs room?).
