In The Know

I'm not at all surprised ........... 17 Years, 5 Months ago
When you can be jailed without committing a crime ....

When you can be shot by the police (but no one is to blame) .....

When the government is run by a bunch of hangers-on in Downing Street rather than the elected MPs .....

It's time to consider re-locating.

I posted the other day on the 'Abolition of Parliament' Act...

In the US it's worse. Habeas Corpus has all but been suspended. Reasonable cause is gone. The President can more or less say what is legal and what is not. There is an impeachment movement, but it's marginalised since the media won't touch it.

In the UK, there is a move toward this, but we do have Her Majesty as the last line of defence... which is an interesting point of being a constitutional monarchy. Also the standing army is pledged to the Queen, not the Government. Not sure how it would pan out, but it would get very ugly very quickly.
