Sadly we don't buy them anymore due to the dog in case currents fall on the floor.

It is unlikely that a massive great staffy would be hurt by a few currents. I bet no dog anywhere ever has been hurt by a currant. I would happily give them to mine.

Not that an eccles cake would ever darken my doorstep. I hate them with a passion.
