TOPIC: DLT Suspended sentence

DLT Suspended sentence 10 Years, 10 Months ago
I would have been furious if he'd been jailed. You can read all about Dave in a chapter in my new book.

The woman concerned claims she is not after money and has not/will not claim compensation. In which case we must assume that she is NOT the comedienne hinted at elsewhere, who has made large sums of money relating her hilarious comic experiences about being groped by DLT to audiences at well paid gigs.

He's lost his home, much of his savings, his reputation. His victim so 'traumatised' she didn't complain to anyone for almost 20 years. Dave 'unfunny' Gorman never said anything about what he saw at the time either. This case should never have arrived in a court room.

For the many who will, obviously, say it's a disgrace, how he behaved, and the CPS were quite right to prosecute - I answer; should the CPS then arrest and prosecute ALL men (and women) who groped or tweaked or wolf whistled or made crude remarks years ago?

I'm delighted that such behaviour is now considered illegal. Add in the ghastly brain dead online trolls who insult people on the internet. But decades ago times were different; such behaviour was frowned on but legal. They hadn't invented www or mobiles.

To prosecute naughty bosses, dodgy doctors, cheeky uncles for behaviour in the last century is not only morally wrong but would be incredibly expensive. Aren't there better uses for our taxes?

I'm waiting for the police to arrive any day now. Groped a few lads and lasses during my heady student days. Summer afternoons, late night drunken get togethers, you name it! It's called being 'human' being 'alive'! An insular and automon society is being created.

I did hope suspended after all he has lost with no hope of ever earning another penny.
Prison sentence would of been a madness, I do hope this is the last of it for DLT.

NEXT !

I still believe in Karma. It is relentless.
agree with what has been said and amazingly- so do Mail readers- so far.

Karma?..comedy careers will falter and stall. Accusers of such a trivial matter (the court statement was pathetic and straight from the script) have a turn-off appeal which they don't understand nor do even the general public who gossip like crazy and get an 'odd feeling' about these matters.

## very easy to say you won't pursue compo- can change your mind anytime and it is, as always , anonymous.

twitter tragics shaking with indignation he wasn't jailed or knackered, hund & quartered etc and when I question re: the 4 accusers of 14 false charges they merely reply- "not proven".

so you cannot win.

Funny isn't it?..if it was a Not Guilty on a murder charge life just goes on. What is about the English & their weird sex obsession?

I presume you meant 'complain' to Mrs Merton, Andrew? I doubt it. You see no-one complained to anyone at all.

Well said Hedda. Dave Gorman has always been boring. Something any comedian and 'entertainer' should never be. As unfunny a comedian as I've ever seen. So in awe of himself he once devoted an entire series in searching the globe for other people called 'Dave Gorman'. It was classic dull television.

Dave Gorman didn't see anything at all. The court just allowed him and others to repeat the gossip. He said that "they" thought it was an aggressive attack, and he couldn't remember who told him about it!

I really hope that simpering little twit of a so-called comic never gets another gig again, even with the female quota rules now in place that have previously ensured she's had more exposure than her minimal talent would otherwise have merited. Her old flat mate did a whole show dedicated to joking about Hitler a while ago - maybe all Jewish people will take him to court. Anything goes in this infantile culture.

indeed and of course in Scotland such a case could never proceed to court as even one eye witness will not be accepted as evidence- there must be at least two., let alone office gossip.

Gorman is doing a gig round here soon, looked at the ticket availability and it's only half booked the theatre only holds 360 people.
