One of my favourite ever films 10 Years, 9 Months ago
is on ITV as I type; Field of Dreams is about much more than baseball; superb Kevin Costner, James Earl Jones and Burt Lancaster. But it's the message I swear by. If you build it, he will come.

A film that people have recommended to me never seen it. Field Of Dreams first saw it on Christmas in the early 90's loved it ever since, it always bring a tear to my eyes. I have it on DVD and Blu-Ray sadly people never mention Ray Liotta superb role as 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson.
I wish baseball was on Channel 5 again same with Ice Hockey.

In floods of tears at the end and you're right; the music was fabulous. And yes, A Man For All Seasons is in my top ten and the scene between Scofield and Hiller when they part is, for me, the best acting of all time.

Field of Dreams, yes, a wonderful movie, beautifully judged. If you haven't seen it, I'd also recommend Fandango -a much slighter Costner movie from the era before he lost his purpose, but a nice enough late evening film with a good Cream/Blind Faith soundtrack.

Costner was excellent when he played the average Joe then Waterworld happened then Postman followed.
