every race seems to have someone they can look down on (except ITK where 'dolers' fit the bill ) and the Burmese who often cross the border as cheap workers are the ones for Thais- despite them using them as cheap labour.

But something is just not right about all this although the claim is that their DNA was found on the bodies. Would the Thai police stitch up these hapless guys because of the damage to the tourist industry?..of course.

Reality is life in prison is not going too much different for these two innocent or not.

## my friend specialisng in Thai travel says cancellations had skyrocketed in Koh Samui with bookings plummeting even though the murder happened on another island- Koh Samui being the link.

### these places that specialise in these midnight rave scenes are dangerous at the best of times with spiked booze, unreported rapes and so on. Another example of ghastly British yob culture now infesting the entire Medeterranean.

Unless you are a snob like me (& JK)and stay in the best resorts that ITK's appalling dolers avoid.

You know the area Hedda; I looked forward to your take on the situation and suspect, as usual, you're spot on.

I went to Samui once.March 1990.We were due to go via boat, but a few days before the airport was finished. We were upgraded to fly...1 hour vs 24 hours!
In those days koh phangan didn't even have a proper road,or installed electric,Samui was a little more advanced, but not by much.
I remember visiting both places and thinking the new airport would ruin both places.....as with Goa it did.
