TOPIC: I'm A Celebrity...
#12688
I'm A Celebrity... 17 Years, 5 Months ago
Yet again, hypnotic TV.
The only reality TV series that survives repetition because the producers are wise enough not to repeat it too often.
Mind you the stunts are getting increasingly dangerous.
But I was transfixed by Myleene's boobs!
She'll win; no doubt. She's pretty, sweet and natural.

I think there should question mark rather than elipsis...

I'd agree that Ms Klass is winsome...

Is it just me, or does David Gest remind you of Huckleberry Hound??

Jonathan would you go onto I'm A Celebrity or any other reality tv show if you were asked to?

Well I rather think he was unfortunately put in the show, without being asked actually.

No Judge; I would not go onto any show other than something new and original, preferably conceived and put together by myself.

My TV career has so far been five major projects (discounting the appearances) - Entertainment USA and No Limits and Record of the Year - all of which I thought of and produced and controlled - and A Song For Europe, finding the UK entry for Eurovision, which we won in 1997, and reviving the Brits (which I named when I hosted them in 1987) in 1990,1991 and 1992.

I prefer inventing to saving but - as long as I have total control - I'm happy to create TV. All the above were massively successful in ratings and critical terms.

The future? Both the judicial and prison worlds need a brilliant series, as do the worlds of music and entertainment and, desperately, sex.

Non tabloid, non brain dead, non superficial but great to watch and very informative.

They will happen. Watch this space.

When I was in HMP Maidstone, Martin, and the fabulous first series started, I had friends make up an I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here T-shirt (still got it; you'll spot it on a future VidBlog) and wore it around the prison, to much hilarity from everyone there, inmates, officers, governors and staff!

I have been interested to see how different David Gest is to how the tabloids painted him before the show. It really shows up the tabloid scum's ability to create a faux persona through nothing but lies.

David Gest seems like a nice enough guy and one of the most grounded of them in there.

Yeah Mr Gest is nowhere near as weird as he is painted.
However he does look like the Dolmio puppet!!!

Thats a shame JK. I can just see you on Come Dancing! I'll look forward to seeing the t-shirt on your video blog.

Hopefully we will also see one of your ideas on tv very soon.

I have to say, Ant and Dec's intelligent and witty humour is the main reason I remain hooked.
They are very funny and very disrespectful in a nice way.
They remind me of Wogan on Eurovision.
I do agree with the point about David Gest above; we are seeing an odd looking but decent enough man damage the tabloids' caricature habit.
Incidentally, checking his biography, he must have worked for me when he was a teenager at London Records. I vaguelly remember him.
