Saturday Food Post 17 Years, 5 Months ago
A tower of crushed potatoes and swiss chard, topped with fillet steak and drizzled with cep and shallot gravy.
The food programme on telly this morning inspired that one, and I realised I had all the ingredients in.
We have just opened the bureau, and realised that my collection of restuarant menu`s has got out of hand.
I have an awful feeling, that I am probably the only person that does this.
However, if there is anyone else out there with a collection, please get in touch, as I have doubles available for swapsies.

Oh, the Interweb

...Harley Spiller, a.k.a. "Inspector Collector," that set of menus isn't just in a drawer. It's under the bed in his tiny New York City Apartment, above his bed, in cabinets and on shelves.
...Spiller claims to have more than 10,000 Chinese food takeout menus.
...beat 4,000 -- a record currently held by a man in Florida. Spiller wants his own name in the Guinness Book of World Records...

Hope you're feeling better although how eating something that contains lungs as a main ingredient is "comfort food" is beyond comprehension

Thanks Zoo, there is a logic to me eating pork lung at the moment. I allways believe if you fancy something foodwise it`s because your body requires it, and as I have a lung infection, I logically ate someone elses!

With the unfortunate effect of now getting the food posts in the slightly incorrect order, we have just given honour to the most fantastic crab I have ever eaten, lemon, black pepper, salt, dash of oil and a fresh white loaf.
Don`t you just love the way that crab meat brings the smell of a summer holiday breathing itself back out of your pallette as you eat it on a dark winters evening?
