I didn't watch for two reasons ...

1. It's yet another "celebrity" show featuring mainly non-celebrities.

2. I take to the hills every time Ant & Dec appear on TV.

M&S do a chocolate board game version so I might investigate that.

Well Cat, what I enjoyed about it was that it challenged our preconceptions, illustrated that "celebrities" are just ordinary human beings, with good and bad traits... who is Matt? He's just a kid who was in a boy band who turns out to be witty, nice, generous, funny, attractive and ballsy.
Which was why I was pleased he won.

I have met very few celebrities that I did not get on with, and from a "non celeb", viewpoint, as I am myself, I think this is largely due to the misconception that people think that the celebs are public property, and treat them as such.
Another problem with being a "celeb", which I have spotted is that once you are known by the public, you have to maintain that image of the "product", and it can be very hard to invent and get involved in another project.
I enjoy being just outside of this genuinely human problem.
Fair play to the Eltons, Bowies, Rod Stewarts , David Camerons(lol), but I personally would not like it.

I once ended up discussing Midi kit with Kevin Rowland on the Tottenham Court Road around 1989-1990 (Queen were using Atari Kit with Apple Emu) ... I didn't realise he was 'anyone' until I was back at my desk in Bedford Sq (I was working on the Battersea Project at the time... the man we were working for was insane. I was pleased to get back to steel works and powerstations...)

I`m not that bad at recognising people, I got a lot better at it when I realised that just because they were famous they were not neccesary taller than me!
I was surprised that the boardhost was as tall as he is, but surprised how small the singer from Sigue Sigue Sputnik was.
I don`t know who you were working with when you met Kevin Rowland, but an aquaintence of mine rang his A+R all the time in the 80`s, and I was told by him, that he could get nowhere as they allways thought he was Kevin winding him up!
I think they sounded like a fun team at the time.
