Did anyone watch x factor final??? I have to stick my neck out and say that the United "Jonathan" Kingdom has not had a brighter prospect of international success since Dusty Springfield before Leona Lewis tonight. That girl has class , and the most refreshing thing is that she has no idea how good she is!

The one on the X-Factor was too much like Mariah Carey and has very little to seperate her from the mass of other average girl singers in the business.

She'll have maybe one hit on the back of the show, but nothing else.

I have nothing against Leona - she seems a pleasant girl. What I object to is the hype around her. She is not a world class singer - she has no low range and seems to go flat or sharp on most important notes. I don't believe that all the people in the show don't know this but still the hype. I hate reality shows.

However, I have to say that Leona is the first winner of such shows to have some talent.

Compare her to the UK acts - female pop stars ?

She is head and shoulders above them all.

For those who say she is sharp or flat or whatever - listen to the actual single. It is superb.

I genuinely think she will become the biggest solo female act that the UK will export in the Pop / Soul genre.

To be honest any other view is either one that dismisses reality shows out of hand ( and I normally do ) or is just sour grapes.

You cant dismiss the comments of many insiders who are convinced of her talent either. They will team her with top writers and top vocal coaches and within 6 months she will have both the material and a bullet proof singing voice that stands up live as well as in the studio.

Mariah Carey and Beyonce have done well with far less talent - Evanescence girl could not sing a note in tune - and Billie had to mime everything.....and as for some male vocalists out there dont even get me started.......

Leona will be the biggest selling reality star ever in the UK and will then become the biggest selling worldwide within the next 18 months. She is that good.

I thought she was one of the worst of the x-factor contestants, but it was clear quite early on that she had been selected to win it. I don't see a slot in the market for her, once you strip away the x-factor hype. This isn't sour grapes or hatred of reality shows (even though I do hate them); this is from several years experience of listening to music and watching the market.

It's possible that she'll find a career in the industry, but not as a long term "big name".

However, in the meantime, I'm sure there are those who will make a lot of money out of her before she fizzles.

What was most laughable about the X Factor final and the fact that Leona was only there as the incumbent winner for the crowning ceremony was the so called winners song. It may as well have been any Whitney or Mariah song. How on earth was Ray expected to sing it ? If they had closed the phone votes before the singing of this song I would not have objected . Being a "female" song how was he expected to reach the high notes ? . In a reverse scenario would we have heard Leona singing If I Were A Carpenter or for that matter That`s My Goal ?

just went on youtube to see who she is.I can't believe cowell has got her singing the same song that Kelly Clarkson sung when she won.surely that voice is worth a stab at the US market.

Just listened on Youtube... it was remarkably horrible.
