on New Year's Eve - go to bed early!

I stayed up to watch the London celebrations, on TV - having been watching the Russia Today channel where they saw the New Year in 11 times, although I only watched the last couple along with Putin's speech. Toasted 2007 with some ginger wine and a piece of Christmas Cake.

The BBC coverage of the London event was well handled and enjoyable - although the music could have been better.

Unfortunately, those expecting something cool to watch on New Years Morning would be greeted with City Hospital, To Buy Or Not To Buy, Bargain Hunt, Cash In The Attic, Castle In The Country and Animal Park. Same old same old, as they'd say in the USA. Maybe the BBC think everyone will be hung over so won't notice or care.

But in the afternoon the BBC do offer another repeat of Diagnosis Murder. Oh what joy! They have really gone that extra mile for the viewer.

Maybe I'll tune in to The Great Escape later.
