Good point, but I have seen lids that blow over.
My bin for example.
That said, "The Sun Blows the lid over on......" just doesnt have the same ring tone.
Either way, when the wind did blow the lid over on my bin, there was a lot of rubbish in there too...

Yes and it's all in a story about a model snorting cocaine. What Planet is the flame haired temptress on? 18 Years, 1 Month ago
She probably thinks EastEnders is a documentary series.

I saw more snorting of "Bolivian marching powder" as Kelvin the Editor used to call it, at The Sun... 18 Years, 1 Month ago
than anywhere else in London in the 80's!
And I very much doubt if it's coke free today.

More spilled wriggling prawns on the floor...
A lot of people I have met actually ,DO, see Eastenders as a documentary of how their lives should be lived.
I am not a fan of soaps at all, and I do worry that people get involved in them as much as they do, although I respect anyones views, and in entertainment that is fine but...
There must be people that watch the dreaded east end (docu-soap), that do not draw the line between it and Watchdog.
Great thread, we havent named a single name, just pointed at people a bit!
Apologies in advance to our readers not in the UK, that may not have seen the shows we are talking about, or indeed the above mentioned tabloid or article.
Which also makes me think, it would be nice to see many more things that irritate our friends and contributers from over the seas, about bad , or annoying ,or, even good things they have read in their press.

All the tabloids are for morons, The Sun and NOW seem to be particularly vacuous, and this is typical of the Sun, a total half-story of brain-numbing proportions. It's all about hypocrisy, whilst many of us know Coke will be prevelent at their offices, a large proportion of their readership (the "Shameless" types that do exist in high proportion on every council estate in the UK) snort coke and pop pills as casually as many of us drink tea.
But where would we be without this hypocrisy coupled with the kind of gullibility that allows people to think that, whilst some peasants 'Nam will trade their own daughters for a couple of hundred quid, those same people are going to be completely honest when faced with the open chequebook of some 2-bit hack....
