I'm not normally enamoured by cowboy films but I loved this with John Wayne at his best, Kim Darby and the mighty Glenc - Glen Campbell still around (just). Haven't seen it since 1969. Enter code here Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.

Considered by many to be JW second/third best movie.

After Rio Bravo, also a western - made 10 years earlier.

With Walter Brennan, Ricky Nelson and Dean Martin.

The latter stole the show as the town drunk who become a hero, in the end.

For those of a musical disposition - the movie had a fine cowboy style duet, with Nelson and Martin.

Though I'm not a particular fan of westerns either, one western that I do like, as much for the music as anything else, though the acting and non-traditional storyline are good too, is The Big Country.
