Yes I have been caught out by this as well, I was thinking I had an easy clear time until "next month".
A clear diary to a hectic one at the turn of a page.
And Easter? Whats that all about? It moves every year!
I was born on Easter Monday, but very rarely have my birthday on it.

It is a little strange that even though historians are not 100% about the day and month of our Lords birth (although the year is clearly without a doubt) they have happily plumped for a date, but when it comes to his resurrection the jury is still out.

With Births happening so frequently and resurrections not so you would think the latter would be a more significant date to be recorded in history?

In The Know

Re:February 17 Years, 1 Month ago
One begs to differ!

I think there is alot of debate as to the exavt year of Christ's birth (as people didn't actually start working things out until about 60 years later).

As for Easter, isn't that something to do with the first Sunday after Palm Sunday - which in turn is the first Sunday after Lent ?

As for dates generally - what about the changes from the Gregorian calendar (when about 5 months were either added to the calendar or wiped off - can never remember which).

No, no, no, "In the Know", the year is spot on, think about it:

In 100 BC people were saying, "Just 100 more years to go until... whatever we're counting down to" (they must have wondered what BC stood for as well at that time). Then at year 0 they heard the crying of a baby and said, "There you go, the years have been going backwards for the birth of that little fella, we can start counting forwards now".

So 60 years later they will have known the Birth of Christ was 60 years ago as it would have been the year 60!

And it's the resurrection, you're wrong about that too. Here, read this:
