People must remember Operation Care - under which trawling exploded and Jones was accused and brought to trial; dozens of the fished (and fishy) false allegations were thrown out and Jones found Not Guilty. All this was back in 2000 in Merseyside (one of the top fishing forces). Fast forward to 2017 and the new climate where trawling is condemned (or is it?). And football coaches and managers and ex players and taxi drivers and weeping, sobbing TV celebrities are connected in a brand new Sports meets Sex scandal. Interesting how society adapts, isn't it?

And remember - heavily rumoured to be behind the Jones false claims (not proved or, if I remember, ever carried in the media) - the mighty PR person Max Clifford.
