It's odd to watch this knowing that the Grenfell tower fire happened in the same part of London. Such pettiness, childishness and ability to throw money down the drain over a completely trivial self-created and easily resolvable issue. And why there should be a craze for digging down and creating multiple basements is baffling. Who would want to expand their home to include windowless bunkers, no matter how luxurious? On the other hand, one example of such a home shown in the programme includes staff quarters in the bunker, so perhaps comfort is not such a big priority for them.

Anywhere within a mile of the Thames ( most of inner London) is a possible disaster zone as the river is an artificial construct and was once twice as wide.

It sums up London though... heavily populated by a ghastly but powerful class of nouveau riche who know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
