This is like demanding people attack a person accused before trial.

Especially, if say an accusation could be proved, legal action may follow.

That's the point - many false allegations are exaggerations; not totally false - so if ITK is accused of raping some girl 50 years ago he might well apologise if he vaguely remembers he DID once date her and it never went anywhere, especially if she says she does not intend to pursue the claim if he apologises. I read a fascinating (lost) article where a bunch of University students & techies studied all of Donald Trump's speeches.

They found when he tells the truth his stress levels rose but when he blatantly lies- which is often and natural he was at his most relaxed.

Hence he is the Prince of Lies as predicted by the Bible who would arrive just before Armageddon !! ( North Korea? Nuclear War)
