Wasn't it Dover where Michael Howard (Tory Home Secretary who brought into law the "no evidence needed - you will be believed" code) once represented us?
No it was Folkestone - though Elphicke is indeed Dover; wherever, intolerance spreads, as does abuse and false allegations. Which category this latest scandal slips into, we shall doubtless discover in due course. One thing I would reckon - whether true or false any claims are bound to be exaggerated. Then they make a better story. And if police are involved, with the spotlight on them they may, astonishingly, at least appear to be balanced in their investigation.
