We do not have any unemployed in the UK, what we do have is 1.4 million unemployables who cannot do anything of benefit for an employer.

They have been workshy all their lives, learnt nothing at school, done nothing about that since, and can't be bovvered to get up in the mornings
.... usually their parents (or parent, if they can't remember who the father is) were exactly the same !

The disingenuous will bring up the disabled - those who cannot work, but they are a small percentage and not the ones anyone is referring to.

Mrs ITK has (finally) decided who our next leader will be !

They can do them mandatory work placements but it's easily avoided...go on a course by the Job Centre.

Just sit in a classroom for 2 weeks or so and just do what you are told.

Not sure if Avanta stil exist or not but turn up twice a week for 6 months.

Yes I'm workshy then.

I got made redundant when a company I worked for went under very suddenly it lead me to having a mental breakdown and now no one wants to touch me.

I am unemployed and ill.

And you post shite like this.

I hope it never happens to you, or if it does I can kick you when you are down like you are doing here.

Pathetic.

Yes, andrew - so easy to avoid work for the workshy

IF they were doing voluntary work - instead of getting up at noon and watching Telly all day - for 40 hours per week, then maybe a slight excuse?

If you weren't so busy watching the Jeremy Kyle show you might just have realised I was repeating what the Chancellor said at the weekend !

Sorry I usually look for the quotation marks when someone quotes another.

Maybe if you didn't have your head elsewhere you might have noticed that you didn't use them.

My mistake !!!!!

ITK has an "on your bike" moment completely oblivious to the complexities involved in where those jobs may be located..you know simple little matters like where you live (let's not start on housing costs and whether you can actually find somewhere to live), travel costs, qualifications etc etc .

The sad fact is one dimensional plonkers make absurd statements like this and supposedly run the country yet haven't a clue as to the rapidly changing nature of employment.

And why would they? They are paid generous "allowances" to travel to London and stay in a nice apartment, all travel costs involved, subsidized restaurants, easy to fiddle scams like claiming mortgage payments for your home...etc etc and so on.

all very depressing as Britain goes down the Brexit plug hole.
