He's on Â£250,000 a year, so after tax that would be about Â£150,000, take away his mortgage and expenses and he would be left with around Â£100,000, leaving Â£100,000 to find from somewhere. I don't think he should have to pay anything if the outcome is clearly that this is a false allegation.
