Looking at it logically, if evidence can be twisted to make innocent people look guilty of rape, the same could be done to make innocent victims look like false accusers.

But the defence has a reason to, and if, as it seems, a blind eye is turned to irregularities in the process, it looks like they could easily get away with it.
Poor old Jemma Beale, who I suspect has an untreated mental illness, could be raped left right and centre and nobody would believe her now.

Yes and often the defence is incompetent, corrupt, lazy or just snowed under with other work. And police and CPS appear to have a habit of hiding vital information.
