Must say, I'm really enjoying seeing the utterly powerless Blair slither and quirm as he realizes that there is nothing that he can do over the current situation. It's so good that the boot is now on the other foot !

With BOTH US Houses now ordering the removal of US troops from Iraq within the year (which Bush can veto - but they can then cancel all funding !) it looks as if the two arrogant ones are more isolated than at any time previously.

How the mighty fall !

If Blair & Bush try to show the world that they are not powerless and isolated ...

This could develop into an extremly dangerous situation.

Are they really that dumb? (don't answer that !)

Blair has weeks left in power. His legacy - starting and losing the war in Iraq - is already assured (does he want to make it worse by starting WW3?).

Bush is a running joke in the US now - they have wised-up at long last! Both Houses are against him and the majority of Americans want to run - not start more wars.
They are losing in Iraq and Afghanistan - do they really want further humiliation?

Remember - more US troops have now been killed in Iraq than the total number of people killed during the entire "troubles" in Northern Ireland (interesting fact, that, isn't it?)
