Dinner tonight - one of my best ever 17 Years ago
Yet strangely simple.
Roast leg of lamb (beautifully pink) with roast potatoes and mange toutes peas, mint sauce, gravy from the juices, iced non alcoholic cider (that really is a gem from Waitrose).

Then one of those lovely lemon souffles as featured on M&S telly ads (they are exquisite).

Sounds ordinary but I was just in the mood.

Rhubarb tomorrow I think.

Roll-Mop Herrings on garlic toast with salad.

I don`t know how you drink that N/A cider, I am completely intolerant to anything with apples in it.
I can`t even drink apple juice,or caffiene, I find the acidicity awful in both.

I think food intolerance comes incredibly down to ancestory, which may cause a case for these "trace you ancestor" web-sites, via founding out which foods your body requires.

I function very well on seafood and rare meat personally, however, my brother ,traced back our ancestory to Normandy, which could be why our great, great ,great, great, Grandad, X 15(?) , legged it to England to avoid the apples!(possibly)

I still believe that the English are the best cooks in the world though, although I accept our influences are from elsewhere.

.. and then ,as I meanderingly write this, my beloved ,tips a pan of slowly reduced tomato juice down the sink, thinking it`s a dirty pan!Don`t you just love life and peoples misunderstandings of what we do?...
I`m a human being , I love being one and I`m allways into flavours.

One thing I am debating currently..

..I have never tried jellied eels!
Thoughts anyone?
