Oxfam - nervous about media they now encourage false accusers 6 Years, 2 Months ago
"Come forward please if you'd like some money", they say. "Make false allegations against innocent, hard working charity people and we shall pay you". Goodness me - like male teachers (who on earth with a brain cell would now become a teacher?) or vicars and priests (who on earth would become one?) or film producers or sports coaches or doctors or foster parents or care workers... no, no, no; don't go near these professions, young people. In a few years you will be falsely accused and probably convicted. Best profession? Be a false accuser! Or a cop (encouraging them - and, if you're clever, getting a cut of compo).

And following the publicity, as we all knew (especially the media who know well how to construct their own good stories out of nothing) dozens more abused come forward (compo, compo and media interview fees). "Pinned me up against the wall"... nice; lucky in the earthquake it hadn't fallen down.

Can you guarantee there are no perverts in Oxfam? asks the BBC. "Not as many as at the BBC", she should answer.

I assume that anybody with decency who might genuinely be entitled to claim, wouldn't dream of taking money from OXFAM!!!

I thought the vast sums of money I squander in their shops was used to buy goats and stuff.

It is extraordinary how these witch hunts gather speed - simply due to the power of media and nobody having the time or inclination to think in depth anymore.

never fear..the media will be in the firing line eventually.

The Savile / BBC fiasco was just the opening act.

65,000 people died in England, Wales and Scotland during the second cholera epidemic of 1848. The solution - clean water and proper sewerage - had been discovered a few years earlier. However, it wasn't until 1858 that this discovery was officially accepted and something could be done to control the disease. Many remained stuck in their comfortable belief systems, arguing that there was no proof, insisting that the dominant miasma theory had to be true (even though this theory had obviously not been proven, either). MPs refused to debate the issue "simply because the idea of consuming water polluted with human waste was far too disgusting and embarrassing a topic for them to consider".

It's staggering to think that a similiar scenario is now being played out in Haiti for exactly the same reasons. Essentially the authorities are allowing passion and emotion to dominate and rule over rational thought.

whatever happens..the poor of Haiti lose..always.

Except..except.. if a smart $later & Gordon type lawyer gets up there and signs up 10,000s of hapless Haitians who were "abused" by Aid workers and don't just sue Oxfam ect but sue the British Government who participate in the aid programs.

Go for it !!!

## Precedent set by the BBC /Savile fiasco.
### Nigerian scamsters are booking trips to Haiti as we speak.
