My worry about the police officer and two other victims of nerve gas 6 Years, 1 Month ago
I remember Litvinenko lasting weeks and looking really better in his hospital bed but this stuff appears eventually lethal. And nobody seems to be mentioning the North Korean brother's death - surely similar? Where is James Bond when we need him?

Altogether 21 people have been treated for this - probably mostly people who (like the police officer) went along to help completely unaware of the dangers/ consequences.
The policeman is being sold as a hero - just police PR - as surely you are only a hero if you go into a dangerous situation knowing it to be dangerous.
He probably (initially) thought he'd stumbled across a couple of druggies / winos.
Bet someone (or several someones) somewhere is feeling very smug about this. Two birds with one stone. Not only send a message to traitors and their families but disrupt the host country.

Yes - agree with ITK about the cop not being a hero; just doing his job; but anything positive about police (especially Wiltshire - the David Bryant/Danny Day force) is welcome. I feel terribly sorry for the cop and the other innocents affected. We shouldn't let other worries (such as bloody media only seeing a good story) detract from our hopes for their recovery.

Agree with JK ... there is a real danger (if situations like this continue) that people will be frightened to offer help ... if you see someone fall in the street the natural instinct is to rush over and assist - BUT will people keep doing that if they suspect a nerve attack ???
Will the Good Samaritan just walk on by in future?
