This morning, the European Court of Human Rights will give their judgement in a case taken by the Republic of Ireland against the UK.
In 1971, fourteen Catholic men were allegedly tortured by British forces in Northern Ireland.
Being dangled (blindfolded) from a flying helicopter is said to be part of the alleged torture - with Guantanamo Bay aspects.
Already, the treatment has been adjudged (by the Court) as inhumane - and the case timing will do little to help Brexit negotiations and public opinion thereon, in Northern Ireland.
Certainly, a guilty verdict would open a can of worms...
