Easter Food Post... 17 Years ago
Next to the local Tesco(don`t ask my opinion on that!), is a newly managed Chinese takeaway, they were frying some rice,as routine, and I asked them to put some green lipped mussles in it for us and we would be happy with that.

Absolutely amazing result and much better than asking for number 105 or whatever.

I`m getting very into seafood after staying by the mussle farm in France last year, but I must say these green lipped ones are a different thing altogether, a completely different oceanic flavour.
Probably not good as a carbon footprint though, I havent checked yet, these particularly big molluscs certainly don`t wash up on the beach here, I think they flew by EasyJet.

Funnily enough I saw them in Harrods today and thought they looked dodgy (the green part reminds me of mould) so didn't buy any.

I've never heard of Green Lipped Mussels before.

Mind you, I've known a few girls who.......

(Edited by Boardkeeper on grounds of good taste; remarks definitely a trifle mouldy)
