His very believable opinion is a question - why would Assad have done this? Simply nothing to be gained and everything to be lost by using chemical weapons.

Two former British Ambassadors to Syria have also expressed their doubts that Assad was behind the chemical attack.

Isn't it interesting how traditional media ignores these difficult questions. Wouldn't the involvement of Isis and other terror groups make far more strategic sense? In my day, the British press would be all over this. Exposure would have brought down the May government, showing how weak, easily fooled and influenced by tabloid thinking she is? Heavens, she'll be calling an election next.
