Another interesting report from the Independent's Robert Fisk. Fisk lives in the ME and is the only real reporter (after the late Maire Colvin- allegedly targeted by the Assad regime) who can be relied upon for telling the truth.

## The White Helmets who report these chemical attacks have a questionable history. It's hard to know how accurate they are.

### why are we sponsoring ghastly "rebel" groups like the Army of Islam who incorporate ISIL & Al Qaeda?
Of course the Assad regime is murderous but so are this bunch. Did no-one learn lessons from Iraq?

Assad still has the support of the majority of Syrians who are left. If he were removed (unlikely now) who would fill the void?

If the West is wringing it's hands over Humanitarian claims, how are they going to help the million Syrian refugees who have fled the country?
(they don't care about the 2 million displaced Iraqis)

#### Why not wait a week or so and send inspectors in to examine this "factory"? Why blow it up first?

Claims this is all about a billion$ gas pipeline the Russians are building are greatly exaggerated.

Trump is not imposing any further sanctions on Russia and warned them before the air-strike just as he did in 2017.

It is purely co-incidental there are council elections in (The Ides of) May.
