Mass media tends to ignore cases like this 6 Years ago

because, understandably, it undermines the public's faith in the judicial system although those, like ITK, would say the fact that the truth eventually emerged proves it DOES work. Tell that to the man who served 6 years in jail for a crime he didn't commit. Or to the hundreds of innocent men and women in prison unable to prove their innocence.
