recall that Jack Nicholson said in an interview 20 years ago that the downside of celebrity were all the paternity suits one basically extinguished because of DNA testing.

He said the annoying thing was that it was far cheaper just to pay them off rather than fight them legally as legal costs were prohibitive even when you won.

Legalised blackmail?

It's too easy isn't it? It's always the best false allegations tactic to choose a celebrity that already has a tarnished reputation, with regard to the treatment of women. How can she possibly lose?

And not just against women, incidentally. Many false allegations are by embittered or confused or greedy elderly men, sometimes seeking cash compensation, revenge, sympathy and even, dare one say it, provoked by media or police or homophobes?
