Just had a canvasser round trying to get my vote (for Labour !!!!) - can you image that??!! I (almost) felt sorry for him !

He looked like that little bald man who used to appear on the Benny Hill show (one slaphead).

Good Evening, he said. I just smiled. "Is there any chance that you will be supporting Labour in the May elections?" he asked.

"You've got more chance of getting yourself elected as the next Pope" I answered, smiling.

His face changed. He looked as if he was about to say something else, but instead just put his clipboard under his arm and started off down the drive !
