But of other great forgotten aspects of false accusations (and even genuine ones) are the Forgotten Victims : family members.

I always though it was pretty cruel & vindictive of the Farrows to air their dirty linen so publicly and completely ignore the feelings of other family members. Soon Yi , Woody's wife has been treated as a mere nothing, an object to be ignored as are her and Woody's own kids along with other family members.

Just who is the real abuser in this family?

It is a bit strange for a mother to paint her own child in a bad light. There was no need for her to bleat about him leaving his pregnant wife.

And, as far as I am aware, slapping your children (within reasonable limits) was not illegal or considered abusive at the time.

He is not making sense anyway. Just because someone does not abuse a child for several years (which Moses could have no knowledge of either way) it doesn't mean abuse is not possible at a later stage.

amazing you picked that up as well. I don't why but he seems quite odd to me.

One thing I thought was very strange was the way he quite gleefully went along when Mia began to imply his father was really Frank Sinatra (when Mia married Sinatra the age difference was greater than Woody & Soon Yi)

But one journalist worked out that it was impossible and exposed the fact that Ronan wears bright blue contact lenses similar to Sinatra's famous blue eyes..something Mia was trying to use as proof.

Sinatra couldn't be the father because of the timeline and what she was really doing was insulting Sinatra's wife Barbara (who I met once and have a really funny story about) who Frank actually adored and she was also implying she had been unfaithful to Woody when married to him- so why her grief at Woody running off with someone?

Mia Farrow has always struck me as downright loopy (remember her blood diamond testimony?), but aside from anything else it's her hypocrisy that irks. She's so driven to cause every possible harm to Woody Allen that she even happily encouraged the idea that Ronan Farrow was not Woody's son but Frank Sinatra's - in other words, she would have had to have cheated on Allen to become pregnant by a man several decades her senior (something she claimed to find abhorrent in Allen's case with his new wife). The media is so cowardly that no one seemed to highlight this contradiction, just as they ignore the fact, while sneering at Allen's willingness to cast young women in his movies, that she started dating Sinatra when she was 19 and he was in his 50s. Nothing she's done in her life is ever wrong, but everything Allen has done, since he left her, is terrible. What a piece of work she is, and how sad she keeps getting away with it.

I think it was her being her own daughter that was the problem, not because she was a lot younger than Woody Allen, and she is right.. it was horrible, but nothing to do with child abuse.

Agree it's creepy and strange but not abuse.

Woody Allen is an eccentric loon.

Some of his films were marvellous - one of the greatest - and even his more recent work could be good (Blue something?). Indeed, an early victim of the celebrity ex witch hunt - even before me, I think, and before Michael Jackson. I sometimes remind Gambo that he's lucky - not just was he so late a victim but, like Cliff, the police and CPS were forced to drop the false allegations.

I only care about his early works - his newer stuff just fed his ego and the characters are just dire.

The blue film was Blue Valentine with a tremendous performance by cate blanchett. He has been hit and miss in recent decades but anyone would be that makes a film a year...He still made Annie Hall and Broadway Danny Rose...

There was a some kind of independent investigation into the allegations against Dylan years ago and the conclusion was there was not a scrap of evidence. Enough. Beyond that no one knows.

But as we talk about sex a lot on here let's leave the last word to Woody:
