I wonder how her kids will turn out and if the adoptees will have any affinity with people in their country of origin. I read Rupert Everett's memoir Red Carpets and Other Banana Skins a few years ago and judging by how he describes her she sounds like a real piece of work.

and wasn't it a wonderful book!
Rupert is a really good writer and very witty. I've known Rupert forever and I'm very fond of him but he was a frightful snob when he was young which put off so many people at the wrong time especially in the media who seemed enraged that he was gay and wouldn't come out (when half the acting world is as well).

Your insights are always interesting, hedda! You should write a book!
I thought Rupert Everett's book was excellent. So many interesting tidbits told so well. Was considering getting another one by him but was put off by a not particularly gripping first page that included effing and blinding that seemed unnecessary. So I didn't bother.
