After eight years of fertility treatment, they are expecting a baby girl.

IMHO 53 is far too late in life to be having children. The kids are going to have a very old dad when they are teenagers and will get teased/bullied about why their dad is about the same age as most kids grandads. Also there are great risks for having children late in life, increased risk of down's syndrome and other conditions.

What is so bad about a downs syndrome person? And surely it is the behaviour of the bullies that needs to change, not those who are scared of them?
