Strictly - Dear BBC 5 Years, 6 Months ago
Unless you want to give 25% of males (including me) and 75% of females heart attacks, please no more shots of AJ in his swimming costume! So far I think Danny, Kate and surprise dark horse Joe are doing well. I fear Lauren cannot last unless those of us who love seeing AJ (incidentally still the best dancer in the show) every week.

As soon as I knew about that VT I thought: 'Poor JK is going to pass out!'.

Warning: Spoiler!

Absolutely massive ratings being attributed to the Seann and Katya publicity stunt; I don't agree; I think it is because every single aspect of the show is so well done even down to camera angles, costumes, cutaways - and, most of all, the music; still really well sung and played and chosen. By this stage after so many years most series start drifting (Have I Got News being an example; Would I Lie after it is still great). Strictly is still 100% BBC at best.

The singers and band don't get anywhere near enough praise. After the first two shows (where the music is worked out well in advance), Dave Arch gets about nine days to arrange the songs choices, but the singers themselves can sometimes only get Friday and Saturday afternoon to rehearse - it's often literally that rushed, especially later on, and yet they are invariably really polished, no matter what mad choices come their way!
