true: I know a woman who during her separation and divorce and very bitter court case over custody and financial arrangements said to the Judge that her ex-husband had lovingly promised he would give her a new
Mercedes every second year for life and she was now still driving a 6 year old model

The Judge responded that not only was she lucky to be driving such a Mercedes when his was 15 years old but this indicated that he tended to believe the husband's claim she was just a "gold-digger".
