Police Tricks 13... 5 Years, 6 Months ago
Continuing my series of posts regarding Police and CPS sloppiness or deliberate subterfuge.
Slowly but surely everything seized from my house in 2000, 2001 and 2015 has been returned to me. Strange, you will say, that material taken 18 years ago is only now being returned. Snap!

But contained in it is a load of evidence proving that I was not in London at certain times years ago when I was convicted of committing a crime in London then - deliberately withheld by Surrey Police.

How can I say "deliberately"? Fair enough and I cannot guarantee it was not accidental. But, for example, the statement taken from News of the World journalist Sean O'Brien (now a PR guy) in 2001, detailing his interview with one False Accuser in 1997, which is totally different from that man's claims in 2001 and for which I was convicted and given 7 years, would certainly have made Jurors think "oops" if not "ugh".

And they would probably not have convicted me.

Which implies that Surrey Police deliberately withheld it from my defence.

I'm finding more and more similar proof of my innocence from way back then.

My point for readers? Always devote every waking second to examining and questioning every single police and CPS action. Accidental sloppiness is understandable if rare. But persistent conspiracy to attempt to pervert the course of justice is commonplace these days in sex claims and it may get your case thrown out - if your judge is honest and decent.

Were you given a reason why your things from the earlier case were not returned?

Well spotted Honey; yes; originally it was because I was still pursuing my appeal (I still am); then, crucially, when the publicity provoked by my 2015 arrest failed to provoke enough false allegations, Surrey Police decided they had to revive previously rejected or "lie on file" 2000 claims and so had to re-examine all the stuff stolen by them from me in 2000/2001. Big mistake, it proved; the words "can of worms" spring to mind. All of a sudden, dodgy past cop behaviour got exposed and examined. And is still being - assisting my CCRC appeal.

When it was all being listed, was this done by somebody independent of you and the police?
How do we know you have got it all back?

Again; well spotted - no it is NOT independent and the police tend to be inaccurate and often dishonest. In 2000, for the first time ever, after the "raid" my credit card was used in Paris and £30,000 attempted to be charged on it (and refused). In 2015 Deniz Corday's TV recorder "caught fire" accidentally when being examined. Fortunately it gave Surrey Police an excuse to pay him £100 in used ten pound notes (at the same time as asking him whether he might be prepared to give evidence against me, which he naturally refused to do but told me he suspected a link between the two events).

Police behaviour in Great Britain often appears to cross the legality line.

How very interesting. I hope this all works in your favour, JK, and your appeal is successful.

And just had lunch with Julie - one of my Angelettes from the early 1970's. I was so grateful and appreciative of the many prepared to bear witness in Court that the lies against me could not be believed. It is not easy to prove one's innocence.
