I was truly and deeply grateful to the many people who offered to give evidence in court that the false allegations against me could be shown to be untrue.
So I have bought each and every one of them a meal, given them copies of Guilty and thanked them in person.

Today - the last meal.

One of the strange lies revived against me was by a confused woman who used to work at the BBC in the 70's - who swore I had a meeting with her and her boss at BBC Radio and tried to sell them a show in favour of child abuse. After I left they looked at each other in horror and swore I'd never work for the BBC again - specifically, that I would not host a new series they were starting on Radio One called Talkabout. I had been considered to present it - after this dreadful proposal they decided I would not ever do the job.

This long, sworn statement was revived and the woman booked to appear at Southwark Crown Court to show the Jury what a Vile Pervert I was.

Fortunately a friend remembered someone who had worked on Talkabout - which I started and hosted on Radio One for 16 weeks - he offered to come to court to swear the people mentioned were not in charge of Talkabout and that I had, indeed, hosted the first series very successfully for three months.

Richard had been a very successful producer with Radio One and went on to work at Pebble Mill in Birmingham and turned out also to have equally valuable evidence of my performances on shows from there in Birmingham in the 70s.

He is now running a radio station up North; I hadn't seen him for decades but was immensely grateful to him offering to appear and deliver vital proof for the defence to the Judge and Jury. As it happened he wasn't needed as HHJ Taylor spotted the numerous flaws in the ridiculous Surrey Police case and threw it out.

So it was fantastic to see him again and to thank him.

Wonderful news Johnathan.

Pebble Mill was great, especially the live shows of Pebble Mill at One of which I have a lovely story to tell of which I have a video of mine and my late partner Robert's live appearance on the show being interviewed by the ever so lovely Marian Foster live in 1983.

We were in the green room with the producer and other guests and the producer asked us if we would like some wine before we were interviewed about our Artwork. Robert said, "No thanks, but i will have a bloody good moan afterwards.

We were escorted to the make up room and sitting there being made up was the lovely Helen Shapiro. Helen looked at myself and Robert we were wearing identical leather jackets as seen here when we met the equally lovely Barbra Dickson who we met many times and became great friends with Dalleen her official fan club secretary. Helen looked us up and down with wide eyes and mouth open, then looked into the mirror and was stirring her coffee with the handle of a comb.

It was a golden day in our lives.

Yes often it is genuine delusion. People read about things and adapt their own memories accordingly. They really do believe their stories; just as people genuinely believe they were abducted and raped by aliens (and perhaps they were).

I am annoyed how the lies have been allowed to spread and how a journalist (sub editor) admitted to sitting in pubs and listening to conversations and writing about them (I once found an article with this claim on it). That is not a wise thing to do. Not in Bristol, anyway.

They need to stop these witchhunts and detractors who are avoiding truth.

I cannot sit back and watch people suffer. I will testify all that I know and stand by every word I say and write.

So, this (below) was passed to the CPS this week by myself.

Dear Madam,

As you may well know there has been a game of catch up being played whereby Police are trying to save their own reputations by chasing people accused of abuse. Famous names have been making headlines such as Johnathan King, Cliff Richard. Now, what you may not know is the accusations doing the rounds where conspiracy types are claiming Jill Dando was murdered as a result of a cover-up of abuse involving these names and because of paedophiles in parliament and the royal family. I have seen these lies peddled all over the internet but mainly coming from [Redacted]. These are blatant lies and only serve to deflect from the real truth which is the media played a part in her murder by taunting criminals and causing paranoia. A tactic they still use today by using dark arts. Now, I want you to send this information to every court across the land. If you do not act on these vicious claims by conspiracy types you will face serious consequences. An innocent man (Barry George) was charged and convicted and sent to jail by YOUR organisation for a murder he did not commit. You are all in a bit of a pickle and you must pay for it. Or maybe some of you believe the lies? We need to find out.
Some of the main perpetrators of such conspiracies are [Redacted} and [Redacted]. These dangerous idiots belong in jail along with officials who have stayed ignorant of facts.
