Didn't Australia recently remove the statute of limitations?

good question...each State has it's own laws.

I think the current NSW Government removed Compensation for abuse claims over 10 years old or from 10 years after you are 18.

Time will tell. If convicted he would be subject to penalties that were on the books 40 years ago,
