Yes I'm with JK on this.
Everything Mick said was so fantastical it cannot be stupidity with police rather something much more nefarious and malicious.
I'm reminded of my own false accuser from nearly 40 years ago and the way then in which West End detectives handled the matter professionally with a competently open mind.
It got me thinking afterwards that coppers probably have had to deal with false complaints about all sorts of matters over the years.
The result was within 3 hours they had the complainant confessing it was a lie and it was crude blackmail attempt. The police were rather disappointed I didn't want him charged with blackmail but fully understood the drama was just all too much.
How could an intelligent man like
Keir Starmer QC and a trained professional lawyer like
Alison Saunders tip on it's head one of the most precious protections in law when they proclaimed "believe the victim"?
I find it depressing that over the years the legal establishment remained silent on this.
I often think we are living in episodes of
Judge John Deed.
