Is he actually going to talk about his failures?
Tia Sharp? Madeleine McCann? I would love to see how this works.

He is not the only former "Yewtree" cop (or ex-cop) now giving what appear to be entirely one-sided talks on investigating historical allegations.

Very interesting.

The ex cop in the first link was reportedly "senior investigating officer" in the Rolf Harris case (source) and went to Australia with another officer to interview accusers (source).

He was also involved in the Dave Lee Travis case.

"Detective Sergeant G... P... told the court "thousands" of police hours had been spent on the investigation into Mr Travis.

Cross-examining the officer, Mr Vullo said: "There are some very troubling things that have happened in this case.

"I don't suggest you have done anything wrong but I don't absolve all police officers of wrongdoing."

Mr Vullo told the jury there was "evidence" that an alleged victim, who claims she was assaulted by Mr Travis at a pantomime, had been "tipped off" by police that the Chuckle Brothers could not remember an incident she reported."

Here's another result concerning the same person.

"Complete, accurate, and reliable information from all parties is essential for effective investigations and fair decision making."

Oh, the irony...

he must be one of the two who appeared on Oz TV leaving a "witness's" house who then fronted the cameras almost shaking with excitement, grinning and gushed to the camera "they're going to fly me to London and put me in a big hotel".

But no-one would say they'll be a witness just to get a free trip to London would they?

would they?

Wonder if she was more eager to go to London than the cops were to go to Australia. Just imagine having to do that. The horror!
