...The woods behind us caught fire,(only minor) it turned out to be kids setting fire to cut down trees .(kids do that)

It was spreading mildly nastily over the peat soil,(it was spitting a lot) and the fire brigade put it out as ,Mrs Mart had contacted them by returning home and ringing them.

I guarded it and made sure it got no worse in sheer panic.

A dog walker walked by and accused me of starting it.

A home owner behind the fire, told me he had seen it start last night and ignored it and thought it would go out.(doh!)

What is this about the English and their "it won`t affect me attitude?"

We stink like a bbq, have black hands from charcoal, and get accused instead of thanked???
