This gorgeous sunshine and a question inspired by Mart... 16 Years, 12 Months ago  
We all agree that sunshine energises us - we start washing cars, cleaning out cupboards, working projects.

So why is it that cities in the permanent sunshine are slower, less active?

It's one of the reasons I didn't choose to live in LA or Florida or somewhere like that.

For us it's the contrast from gloomy and dark to that fresh Spring sunshine. Everything coming into bud fills the world with colour.

In these gloomier parts it's bit of a Wizard of Oz experience - they have "full living color" all the time so they don't notice it anymore.

So people take everything slower.

Wait until july / august when the temperatures (even in London) reach the sizzling nineties.

Like in the summer of 76 when i missed the punk rock explosing, sitting at the serpentine in hyde park, listening to Elton John & Kiki Dee on Capital Radio ...
