Aaronovitch excellent again 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago
He has the courage not to give up; but I really do despair about the Child Abuse Inquiry; I have applied (and been rejected) as a "now proven innocent" victim of the False Allegations Industry - they really do not want to hear the other side of it.

But how did it come about that, for the half decade following the Savile revelations, it was possible for almost any person to make an anonymous or even identifiable complaint of historic child abuse against a public figure, and be treated with automatic credulity?Come on, David. You're nearly there. Just one more push!
But how did it come about that every grifter and fantasist in the land was given official sanction to besmirch the memory of a man who had devoted his entire life to improving the lot of others?

You should write to him. Maybe he has reached that point but just doesn't dare say so. Or The Times doesn't.
